Ready, set, slice!
With this cheerful wooden cutting set, children can really go wild in the kitchen.
The set is packed with colorful vegetables, fruit, sausage, cheese, and bread, all made of sturdy wood and held together with Velcro. With the included knife, each piece is effortlessly sliced into sections - providing that little feeling of pride every single time. That is exactly what makes this cutting set so much fun: it is playful, repeatable, and it is always a surprise which piece will be "opened" first.

While happily slicing away on the wooden board, children are practicing quite a few skills. Holding the knife while keeping the food steady trains fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Because both hands are used at the same time, it is also great practice for bilateral movement. And because each piece "cuts" just a little differently, children learn through doing how to adjust the force of their hands—fine motor control, in other words.

This makes this large cutting set ideal for daycare centers and primary schools. Children learn the names of fruits and vegetables through play, practice concentration while "cooking," and build self-confidence with every successful slice.

Play suggestion: let children assemble their own "lunch" and serve it to a doll or stuffed animal—double the fun!

A lovely wooden cutting set, but with a big impact on motor skills, concentration, and imagination. Exactly the kind of toy that gets unpacked differently every single day.
