Following a calm path… with your finger and your breath!
The Wooden Mindful Maze Set from hand2mind consists of three wooden boards with a different pattern on each side. That means 6 different patterns to choose from, try out, and experience.
Let children experience and feel for themselves which shape suits them best. The lemniscate is the most well-known shape; thanks to its loop shape and endless movement, it is suitable for young and old to calm the breath.
By following the tactile path with a finger, fine motor skills are practiced in a calm way. At the same time, the child follows the prompts for inhaling, exhaling, and pausing. In this way, movement, sense of touch, attention, and breathing are connected in a simple way.
Following the patterns requires concentration, motor control, and a steady pace. This makes this set not only fun for mindfulness, but also interesting for supporting self-regulation and executive functions.

A lovely activity for at home, in the classroom, in a quiet corner, or during therapy.

The Wooden Mindful Maze Set stimulates:
- fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

The shapes are also fun to trace using a piece of paper and a wax crayon: frottage technique

A simple tool to slow down for a moment, bring your attention to the here and now, and playfully experience what calm breathing can do.
