With this Santa Fidget Tube with LED, fidgeting becomes an active challenge. Hold the ends with both hands, slowly pull the tube apart, and give Santa an extra-long body. Then, the trick is to carefully and controllably compress him back together.
The movement requires both hands to work together and stimulates bimanual motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and force regulation. In particular, controlling the compression requires precise movements and good force modulation.

Various executive functions are also playfully engaged:
- Inhibition: not just pulling hard, but controlling the movement
- Attention: staying focused on stretching and compressing
- Working memory: remembering the action and the required force
- Self-monitoring: feeling and assessing how much force is needed
- Planning: consciously performing and adjusting the movement
- Emotion regulation: repetitive, predictable movements can help regulate tension

The LED lighting adds a visual element and makes the movement extra appealing. This makes this Santa not only a fun Christmas fidget, but also an interesting sensory tool for children, teenagers, and adults who like to keep their hands busy.

A Santa you can keep making longer? Now that’s a Christmas miracle!
