Sawing, building, and chugging along: what’s on the workbench today?
These wooden building blocks with velcro come with a toy saw, allowing children to truly build and saw. The blocks stay together thanks to the velcro. Saw them apart, stick them back together, and build a new shape or figure. Without nails or sharp edges, it’s completely safe and quiet.

What children practice with this:
- Gross motor skills and two-handed (bilateral) movement: one hand holds the block, the other moves the saw back and forth
- Force regulation and hand-eye coordination when sawing and holding the block
- Motor planning and coordination when moving rhythmically back and forth
- Fine motor skills when detaching and attaching the velcro
- Planning, flexibility, and perseverance when conceiving and building their own construction

The game is suitable for home, in the classroom, and during therapy or guidance sessions. Repeated sawing and building helps automate fine and gross motor movements without it feeling like practice.

Play suggestions:
- Make a building plan together and carry it out step by step
- Play carpenter and do chores for a stuffed animal

The velcro makes building accessible, even for children who still struggle with stacking blocks.

A building set in which children learn to plan, persevere, and create, with real tools in small hands. Playfulness and motor development go hand in hand here.
