Who else has one of those little "tissue-pullers" at home? Spike just turns it into a motor skills game!
With Spike the Fine Motor Hedgehog Tissue Pal from Learning Resources, children can pull tissues out of his back to their heart's content and then stuff them back in again. That simple act of pulling, pinching, and stuffing is great exercise for fine motor skills, hand strength, and hand-eye coordination.
Spike comes with 10 soft, washable fabric tissues in 5 different colors. Children can pull them out of the hedgehog, feel them, count and sort them, or create color patterns. Then, all the tissues disappear back into Spike's shell, ready for the next round of play.

Repeatedly grabbing and stuffing the tissues stimulates finger and hand muscles and requires precise movements. The sense of touch is also stimulated by the various soft fabrics. This makes Spike not only fun for toddlers, but also interesting as sensory and fine motor toy.

Spike stimulates:
- fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
- pinching and gripping strength
- tactile and sensory development
- color recognition and sorting
- counting and simple patterns
- independent play and discovery

The sturdy hedgehog has a stable base and the tissues can be easily stored inside Spike after playing. The fabric tissues are machine washable.

A wonderfully simple game with a surprising number of motor possibilities: pulling, feeling, sorting, stuffing, and starting all over again!
